So often in the packaging industry companies are continually changing label designs, identities, etc hoping to get that edge in the competitive market. Often the change is simply for the sake of change, which doesn’t always work out.

One of my favorite soda pop drinks Mello Yello recently got a throwback redesign.

Design Contests…Good right?

Recently as a freelance designer I have come across multiple new websites that offer design contests to any person wishing to create a design and submit it to the paying client for approval. In theory competition is great and my four years of college taught me contests bring out the best in us as designers however after taking a deeper look into these services it can be questionable.

I have really been looking more into package design recently. The Dieline is a great resource for all kinds of packaging. Packaging is a complex medium but pffers so much room to expore creativity in shape and 3 dimensional space. Below are just a few I found.

Although I usually post things related to graphic design this blog is focused on a much bigger concept, anything and everything that is simply creative. We all loved climbing trees and building forts when we were younger. This tree house is an absolute architectural creation.
